HINSDALE — A Westchester man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly stealing a credit card in Hinsdale last month and using it to make purchases at a Brookfield gas station.
Investigators charged John D. Kimbrough, 37, of 10740 Cermak Ave., with burglary, claiming he stole a wallet from a vehicle parked on the 300 block of West North Street on Oct. 28, Hinsdale police officials reported.
When a man used a credit card that was in the wallet to make a purchase at a gas station that evening, he was taped by the gas station’s surveillance camera, Hinsdale Deputy Police Chief Mark Wodka said.
The police used the tape to identify Kimbrough, who was arrested at his Westchester home Tuesday. He is being held in DuPage County Jail, until his bond hearing Wednesday.~.
