A suspect is in custody after a man was stabbed and killed early Wednesday at his home on Chicago’s Northwest Side, authorities said.
The man, described as in his 40s, was fatally stabbed about 1:20 a.m. in the 5400 block of North Natoma Avenue, according to police officer Ronald Gaines. He was dead on the scene.
The man had been tentatively identified but his family had not been notified of his death as of Wednesday morning, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
He and another man were involved in a drunken argument when he was stabbed, police said. The two men do not appear to be related and the incident is not considered to be a home-invasion or robbery.
One person was in custody early Wednesday in connection with the stabbing, which police described as domestic-related, police said.
Chicago police detectives are investigating.
