Lake Zurich police release photos of alleged suspect in stabbing

LAKE ZURICH – Lake Zurich police have released security photos and are seeking help finding the man investigators believe stabbed a 21-year-old male twice in the abdomen just before 2 a.m. Wednesday in the parking lot of the McDonald’s at 653 S. Rand Road.
According to the photos, the person of interest is a while male, approximately 17-22 years old, and was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt. The offender also was described as tall and thin, with short brown hair and no facial hair.
Anyone with information to help police identify and locate the suspect is encouraged to call the Lake Zurich Police Department’s criminal investigations division at (847) 719-1695. Individuals may provide information anonymously, police said, and may also be eligible to receive a cash reward for the information.
The victim received treatment for his injuries at Good Shepherd Hospital.
Police said the offender left the scene in a dark colored passenger vehicle.
Police said the passenger in the front seat of the vehicle also was described as a white male about 17-22 years of ago with curly light brown hair. Police said a witness described the passenger as tall and thin and wearing “skater” clothing.
“We have developed some leads, and we’re going to follow up on them today,” said Lake Zurich Police Commander David M. Bradstreet.
