Elmwood Park man dies in Northbrook auto accident

NORTHBROOK — An elderly Elmwood Park man died Tuesday afternoon after an auto accident in Northbrook.
Eward Niewiarowski, 80, was involved in an accident in the 3500 block of Techny Road in Northbrook, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.
Niewiarowski, of the 7900 block of Grand Avenue in Elmwood Park, was declared dead at 4:49 p.m. at Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview, according to the medical examiner’s office.
An autopsy is scheduled Wednesday.
Cook County Sheriff’s police are investigating, but were not immediately available for comment Tuesday night.
