NORTH RIVERSIDE — A bank inside a North Riverside grocery was robbed Friday.

The FBI says a man carrying a red paper bag robbed the TCF Bank at 7201 W. 24th St.

The robber was described as a black man in his mid-20s to mid-30s, about 6 feet tall with a medium build. He was wearing a black hat, black scarf and brown coat.

There have been at least 218 bank robberies in the Chicago area this year. In 2011, there were 115, the FBI said.
