WILLOWBROOK — More than 150 children and family members turned out to celebrate the season with Mr. and Mrs. Claus at Anne M. Jeans School in Willowbrook on Tuesday.

The annual Santa’s Workshop event, sponsored by the Willowbrook Corner Coalition and Downers Grove Township, invites residents of the Willowbrook Corner neighborhood to make crafts, enjoy treats and giveaways, and visit with Santa.

“They did different arts and crafts, making their own bags to put stuff in,” said Wendy Williams, aka Mrs. Claus, who helped to coordinate the event.

“We didn’t realize what a turnout it was going to be,” she said. “It was so much fun.”
