The only thing missing was the snow.
If Bing Crosby attended Saturday’s holiday festival in downtown Skokie, courtesy of the Independent Merchants of Downtown Skokie, he still would have been dreaming of a white Christmas. On the other hand, if he were dreaming of a wet Christmas, he would have been in a joyful mood.
Despite rain and gray skies, people gathered in the center of downtown Skokie at Krier Park to enjoy the holiday season.
Events included photos with Santa, ice carvings, live reindeer, a lighting of the menorah, merchant specials and more.
