Singers from the Highland Park Senior Center, the Laurel Larks, performed recently at the Highland Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Highwood.

The group, which has existed for more than 25 years, rehearses on Fridays from September through November for the holidays. This month, the Larks are preparing for a spring concert.

The leaders, Dave and Peggy Massello, work with the group to learn new songs and medleys for upcoming concerts.

First Bank of Highland Park helps to keep the Larks chirping with sponsorship.

Members of the singing group range in experience from professional singers to shower singers. The Larks are always seeking new voices.
