Edgar Nieto, of Mundelein, a student at Dominican University was honored as a Student Laureate by the Lincoln Academy of Illinois during special ceremonies at the State Capitol in Springfield. The following Mundelein High School seniors have been named semifinalists in the 2013 National Merit Scholarship Program: Stephen Slaughter and John Syme will be eligible for a number of scholarships offered through the program should they become finalists.
