BURR RIDGE — Clear skies greeted guests at Burr Ridge’s annual Armed Forces Day celebration on May 18, Those clear skies provided ideal conditions for the military flyover that started the ceremony, held to honor all men and women who have served the country. The crowd enjoyed music by the West Suburban Conference Band, a keynote address by retired Colonel Jill Morgenthaler, and the awarding of the village’s first Patriot Award.
